DESSO Leisure and Travel boasts a global reputation for the superb custom-made field design and stockfloor coverings we supply to prestigious hotels worldwide, with ranges including Axminster & Wilton woven, tufted and printed wall-to-wall carpets.
Our manufacturing process is certified for ISO 9001 from Lloyd’s UK and we operate our own vertically integrated production process from our factories in the Netherlands and Belgium, which gives us full flexibility and, crucially, first class quality control. All stages – from wool washing, spinning, twisting and dyeing to weaving, tufting, backing, finishing and packaging – are managed in-house to our own high standards. We’ve also developed our own yarn which has been used to great success in projects worldwide.
Designs are generally custom-made to your requirements. Our design department – based at our Netherlands head office – will work with you quickly and flexibly, rapidly producing draft designs and colours in print or as trial samples.
Our design and technical department offers additional services such as overage minimization and seam reduction, by calculating the most efficient production quantities based on your architectural drawings. Should you wish, we can also provide you with an installation plan which uses balemarkings to indicate clearly the exact positioning of carpet rolls. This service ensures smooth co-operation with the installers.
For newbuilds and major refits we’ll provide you with a project coordinator as part of our after-sales services. Because of the strong relationships we’ve developed with other hotel service suppliers over the years, we’re also able to offer you good quality, competitively priced additions such as hand tufted carpets, rugs and entrance mats, together with a full range of installation services.
