DESSO German office to use 100% green energy from renewable sources as from 1rst June

As from 1rst June 2009, DESSO office in Wiesbaden, Germany will use 100% green energy from renewable sources such as sun, wind, water/tide and therefore free of any nuclear energy.
ENTEGA (www.entega.de) is the chosen supplier and it is certified by TÜV Hessen 2008. It is also certified "OK power" by EnergieVision e.V. which includes annual reevaluation and recertification
This initiative is part of DESSO's commitment to sustainability as well as Cradle to Cradle. Cradle to Cradle is a conceptual shift away from the wasteful manufacturing model of the Industrial Revolution. Instead of taking natural resources and making them into a product to be used and thrown away, its central premise is that products should be conceived with the intention that they will eventually be recycled, as either industrial or biological nutrients, reducing energy costs and the expense of wasting new raw materials.
